Milestone 2 and Beyond Training Path

Milestone 2 and Beyond – Training Path

This is when you continue adding new exercises, while progressing with the old ones.

It is important not to spread your dog too thin, not to work on too many things at once. Your progress will be slow or the quality of the training will deteriorate.

Be strategic. Once you get to a solid point in one exercise – add another. Do not quit the old exercise and work on it weekly but with less frequency.

You have to balance your dog’s workload. Some exercises will take much more time to advance than others. Some need to be completed before you begin others (for example – Send Away requires a Down).

It will become easier to balance your schedule once the dog becomes more skilled.
