Troubleshooting – Slow OUT – Introduction

There are two main reasons for slow Out. Insufficient history of reinforcement for fast Out, and no consequence for slow Out. We prefer to use Negative Reinforcement in this scenario. In the beginning, we do not worry about the speed of the Out. We hold leash pressure until the dog does. The important part is the timing and dosage. As much as nesessary, and as little as possible. With time the dog will become fast at Out.
