It is critical that we teach the dog eye contact.  In the beginning, you will click for any eye contact sometimes resetting the dog so he would find the area for his head again. Eventually, you will build variable duration of eye contact: 2 sec, 5 sec, 2 sec, 7 sec, 3 sec, 8 sec, etc. This way you will avoid Classical Conditioning.Back to Obedience Step by Step
