Step 3 – Introduce Bite Pillow

Tobias comes out on the field and kicks the pillow and toses it to grab the dog’s attention. Then he comes towards the puppy making big slow waving motions. When he is ready – he presents the pillow very clearly for the dog.

Please remember that working in prey has no threat.

The first few bites are just clean slips. Meaning that once the puppy bites the pillow, Tobias immediately slips it off. Then the Handler holds steady, Tobias pulls gently on the pillow to have the puppy hold the grip. Once he holds – Tobas releases.
