Timing & Dosage Difficulties Introduction of the Leash

The team in the video progresses from manual contact in stay positions to the mechanical contact. We do so through the use of Classical Conditioning. We use a leash cue, followed by manual contact.

The order of the events has to be precise, or the dog will not understand the concept at all. The Handler struggles with the order and, in addition, cannot make a small pause between actions so the dog can process them.

In the beginning, the dog will not understand the concept but will grasp it soon.
