Exercises don’t always progress evenly, because every dog is different. A drill that works for one dog does nothing for the next – and suddenly you are stuck with a problem you can’t train your way out of.
Troubleshooting starts with finding the real problem. Behaviours link together in chains, and the mistake you see on the field is rarely where the chain actually breaks. The hardest step is noticing that an approach has stopped working – instead of repeating it for another six months.
We have already been through the whole cycle for you: identify the problem, make a plan, implement it, check the result and record it. Everything is filmed with real dogs of different breeds and ages while they are being fixed – including the attempts that didn’t work.
