Sometimes dogs do not perform as well in a trial as in training. Some of the reasons are:
- Dependency on training tools (balls, etc.)
- The dog is not used to large groups of spectators.
To help the dog be successful, we need to prepare him.
Before you proceed, please make sure you have completed the Foundation and actual Training program, and your dog understands Negative Reinforcement (R-). If your dog is unclear, please go back and polish it up.
We have 3 large sections under Trial Prep for Obedience:
- How to remove helps
- Conflict Management System
- Stimulus control
Trial prep is one of the most critical and challenging parts of Obedience training.
