Defense Drive – Final Words

We always want a mix of Prey or Decoy aggression. Some puppies are confident and can switch to Decoy aggressions quite quickly.

For dogs that are less confident, it is best to focus on Prey Aggression and build up Decay aggressions slowly. Please, do not put this type of dog in the corner and bring his Decoy aggression out of fear. Work with the dog you have and create confidence in him.

Please do not encourage aggression outside of the working field. Always have multiple visual cues for Protection work – scratch pants, whip, blinds, etc.
