Final Words – Zack Progression through Prey and Defense Training

It is all about finding the right balance between prey drive and defense drive. Some dogs are solid in prey drive and bite like crocodiles but their barking is not powerful or dominant enough.

On the other hand, you might have a dog that is strong in defense drive, and Hold and Bark is very strong but the dog might end up chewing. Our job as trainers, Handlers, and Helpers is to find that balance.

Dogs change and develop and we have to change with them from session to session to session. What worked yesterday might not work tomorrow.
