Zack First Time Leaving the Scent Pad
Anna and Zack are working on leaving the Scent Pad. The puppy tends to be hectic, so they will do 2 tracks because of that.
First Scent Pad will be regular. The second one will have a tracking path coming out of it.
When leaving the Scent Pad, Anna makes a double-step to make it easier for the dog to locate it – 01:03 sec. First 3 paces will be no food to make it easier for the puppy not to leave the Scent Pad until it is time. After that, each step will contain 1 kibble. The track is finished with a handful of food as a jackpot – 03:13 sec.
Anna and Zack continue progressing working on calm walking to the Scent Pad. When he pulls – she places him back into the correct position and continues walking.
It helps to control the puppy while getting ready if he is down – 04:45 sec. Anna finishes the first session by luring out of the Scent Pad – 08:10 sec.
Once Zak enters the second Scent Pad, Anna immediately stands at the entrance to the path. She is preventing the puppy from going there until it is time – 08:55 sec.
Once Anna decides it is time – she steps away from the beginning of the path – 10:44 sec. She places food in the first 3 steps that had none. Zack finds the path – 11:02 sec.
Every leash pop is associated with the dog remembering there is food on the ground. The track is over – 12: 07 sec. Anna steps in front of Zack to lure him out of the Scent Pad.
