IGP Workshop in Denmark – a very special reunion

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of leading an intensive IGP workshop in Denmark. With only six dogs and their handlers, the focus was on creating an environment where each team could train as effectively and individually as possible. The goal was for every participant to make valuable progress in both obedience and protection work.

For me, this workshop was highly emotional because of the location: nearly 15 years ago, I held one of my very first dog training seminars here. Returning to the same place after so many years and once again working with dedicated handlers and working dogs was truly a moving experience.

The workshop was organized by Hugo Skov, who has already become Danish Champion – with a dog that I personally raised as a young dog. This connection made the weekend even more meaningful and highlighted once again how impactful good training and early development can be.

During the seminar, we focused on obedience and protection work. Through precise training, targeted exercises, and practical insights, all participants were able to take away valuable input for their ongoing IGP training.

All in all, it was a dog sport seminar that holds a very special place for me – both professionally and personally.
