Scaling Wall (A Frame)
This exercise is worth 15 points in IGP1, 2 and 3.
In IGP1 – there is a climb without retrieve. In IGP2 and 3, there is a relieve of IGP1 dumbbell.
In IGP1 – climb without a retrieve. You will heel with the dog to the retrieving side and tell the dog to sit. You will wait for the judge’s permission to leave the dog. You will tell the dog to “sit,” even if he is sitting. You will walk to the opposite side of the wall. Upon the judge’s command, you will tell the dog “hop”and while the dog is climbing – “here.”
You will heel from the dumbbell rack holding IGP1 dumbbell. There will be a starting position marked 4 meters away from the A-frame. You can stand further but nor closer to the A-frame.
You will arrive there and wait for the judge’s signal to begin the exercise.
The dog must sit in the Basic Position quietly. You can move right leg as long as you do not disturb the dog when you throwing the dumbbell. If you do move the leg, you must wait 3 seconds after resting Basic Position before sending the dog.
You will give the dog a verbal command to climb. While the dog is climbing you will give the command to retrieve. The dog must climb over, run to the dumbbell, pick it up, climb back, sit in front of you and present it. The hold must be calm and firm.
After 3 seconds, you will take the dumbbell while giving verbal command to “give.” You will hold the dumbbell in your right hand with the arm straight down.
You will wait 3 seconds and ask the dog to return to the Basic Position. Wait for the judge to indicate the exercise is over. You will then heel to the dumbbell rack and return the dumbbell.
